Website Maintenance

Website Maintenance That Prevents the Emergency Call

Most website disasters are preventable. Sites get hacked because updates were skipped, go down without anyone noticing, and lose data because nobody tested the backups.

  • Updates tested on staging first
  • Off-site backups with tested restores
  • Real humans, defined response times

The Problem

What Neglected Websites Cost

Maintenance feels optional right up until the moment it very much is not.

Outdated software gets exploited

The overwhelming majority of WordPress compromises come through known vulnerabilities in plugins that had an update available. Attackers scan for exactly this.

Backups that were never tested

A backup you have never restored is a hope, not a plan. Plenty of businesses discover theirs was broken only when they need it.

Downtime nobody spots for hours

Without monitoring, you find out the site is down when a customer tells you — and you have no idea how long it has been that way.

Slow decay in performance

Databases bloat, images pile up, plugins accumulate. Nothing breaks dramatically; the site just gets steadily slower and quietly loses conversions.

Our Approach

Prevention on a Schedule

Maintenance is unglamorous and almost entirely preventive. Updates get tested on staging before they touch the live site. Backups run off-site daily and are restored periodically to prove they work.

You also get a defined route to a human when something is wrong, rather than scrambling to find a developer during an outage.

  • Updates tested before they go liveStaging first, so an update never takes the site down
  • Off-site backups, restore-testedStored away from your host and proven to work
  • Continuous uptime monitoringWe usually know before you do
  • Security hardening and scanningLogin protection, permissions and malware checks
  • Monthly performance reviewSpeed, errors and database health, reported plainly

FAQ

Questions Before You Start

We clean it up, restore from a known-good backup if needed, close the vulnerability that let it in, and tell you plainly how it happened. This is covered on Professional and E-commerce plans.

Yes. We start with an onboarding audit to understand what we are taking on and fix anything urgent before the regular cycle begins.

Text changes, image swaps, adding a blog post, updating a page, small layout adjustments. New page templates or custom functionality are quoted separately.

Plans cover the website, not the hosting bill. We will work with your host, and recommend a better one if yours is the reason the site is slow.

Yes, all plans are rolling monthly. You keep your backups and we hand over any credentials we hold.

That is what staging is for — updates are tested there first. If something still slips through, we roll back from backup and investigate.

Let's Talk

Stop Waiting for Something to Break

Tell us what your site runs on and who currently maintains it. We will audit it and tell you what needs attention now, before it becomes an emergency.

No obligation. If we are not the right fit for your goals, we will say so.
